Mossberg 500A

The Mossberg 500 is one of the most successful firearms in American history — over 11 million units produced since 1961. It's the only shotgun that has passed the U.S. Military's brutal MIL-S-3443G torture testing standards, leading to its adoption by the U.S. Army, Navy, Marines, and law enforcement nationwide.

If you can break a Mossberg 500, you've earned a beer.

The thumb-operated tang safety (mounted on top, behind the receiver) is the most ergonomic safety location of any shotgun — equally fast for left- and right-handed shooters. Dual extractors, twin action bars, and an anti-jam elevator make it almost impossible to fail.

The Mossberg 500 is one of only three shotguns to ever receive a U.S. military adoption designation — the others being the Remington 870 and the Benelli M4.
