The Story

Full-power battle rifle precision.

The MR308 is the civilian semi-automatic version of the HK417 — the full-power battle rifle used by elite military units worldwide for designated marksman and precision rifle roles. Chambered in 7.62 NATO, it delivers a different category of shooting experience entirely.

Full-power rifle ballistics, sub-MOA accuracy, and authoritative recoil. This is what serious rifle shooting feels like.

The .308 round is the gold standard of full-power rifle cartridges — used by snipers, hunters, and target shooters since 1952. Combined with H&K's piston-driven precision and free-floated barrel, the MR308 delivers the kind of accuracy that makes 300-meter targets feel close.

The SEALs' designated marksman rifle.

The HK417 (military variant) saw heavy use with U.S. Navy SEALs and Delta Force during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, where its hard-hitting 7.62 round was needed to defeat enemy combatants behind cover at extended ranges.

The difference between 5.56 and 7.62 is immediately noticeable when you fire it. The recoil is heavier, the muzzle blast is more pronounced, and the sense of power is unmistakable. This is the round that makes reinforced positions feel irrelevant.

From our shooters

What people say.

The MR308 is for shooters who want to feel what full-power battle rifle ballistics are really like. Here's what our visitors say.

★★★★★

After the 5.56 rifles, the step up to .308 is dramatic. The recoil is real, the report is serious, and every shot feels significant. This is what a battle rifle feels like.

★★★★★

The accuracy at distance is what blew me away. I was consistently hitting the far targets in a way I wasn't with the smaller calibres. Sub-MOA is not a marketing claim — it's visible.
